MPML Annual Events

Halloween on the Boo-levard

This is our most popular annual event that brings the community together and transforms the area into a festive and safe Halloween celebration. The event features trick-or-treating, decorations, and various activities for both children and adults. Streets are blocked off to ensure the safety of all participants, allowing children to freely enjoy the festivities.

This event has become a cherished tradition that is entirely run by dedicated neighborhood volunteers, showcasing the strong community spirit and commitment to providing a memorable experience for everyone involved.

MPML Golf Scramble

The MPML Golf Scramble is the highlight of the year for our neighborhood association and our largest fundraising event. This exciting and fun-filled golf tournament brings together community members, local businesses, and golf enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie.

Participants will enjoy a round of golf on a beautiful course, with various contests and prizes throughout the day. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or a beginner, this event is perfect for all skill levels.

By participating in the MPML Golf Scramble, you'll be supporting our neighborhood association's initiatives and projects that enhance our community. Your contributions help fund important programs, events, and improvements that benefit all residents.

Minne Lusa Neighborhood Garage Sales

Get ready to treasure hunt! Each year, typically in June, our neighborhood comes together for the Annual Minne Lusa Garage Sales—a Saturday full of great finds, friendly faces, and front yard deals. Anyone in the neighborhood can join in by hosting their own sale and signing up to be included on the official garage sale map.

While each household sets their own start and stop times, we coordinate the date and map to make it easy for shoppers to hit as many sales as possible in one fun outing.

Annual Minne Lusa Plant Sale – Every Second Saturday in May

Each spring, neighbors gather for our Annual Plant Sale—a cheerful community tradition filled with plants, yard art, handmade goods, and friendly faces. From homegrown perennials and veggie starts to unique crafts, cards, and garden décor, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The sale coincides with our monthly neighborhood coffee, making it the perfect morning to sip, shop, and connect with the Minne Lusa community.

Neighborhood Spring Clean-Up

Our annual Spring Clean-Up is a collaborative effort between the City of Omaha and participating neighborhoods, offering residents a free and convenient way to dispose of large or bulky items that aren’t accepted through regular curbside service—such as old furniture, appliances, tires, and mattresses.

This event wouldn’t be possible without the help of dedicated neighborhood volunteers who keep things organized and running smoothly. It’s a great way to pitch in, clean up, and care for our community together.
